IWC medal-winning wines included in the Discovery tasting will be grouped into categories dispatched to buyers and importers. Buyers will select their category requests from a list of pre-grouped wine categories enabling buyers to easily browse the groups and find products relevant to them. The concept allows a more effective and targeted tasting experience, making it easier than ever for buyers to discover new wines, all without leaving home – or sharing a spittoon!
IWCのメダルを獲得したものの中でディスカバリー・テイスティングに参加するSAKEは、バイヤー向けとインポーター向けのカテゴリーに分類されます。バイヤーは、事前にカテゴリー別に分けられたSAKEのリストから試飲してみたい希望のカテゴリーを選択するため、商品を簡単に閲覧し、関連するSAKEを見つけることができます。
このコンセプトにより、より効果的で的を絞ったテイスティング体験が可能になり、バイヤーは会場に出向いたり、スピットンを共有したりすることなく、新しいSAKEをこれまでよりも簡単に見つけることができます。
IWC will re-bottle* samples of participating medal-winning wines and Sake into aluminium 50ml pouches and dispatch to qualified UK on- and off-trade requests.
Recipients of the IWC Discovery Tasting Sample service will be provided with a sample category information document including the details of each wine in the group, Beverage ID, IWC medal status and tasting note with producer contact details.

To enter the Discovery Tasting, please complete section 2 when submitting your sake into the IWC judging. It is essential that you indicate your primary focus (off-trade independent, off-trade multiple or on-trade) so that we can send your wines to the most relevant sector.
The fee (per sake) to be included in the IWC Discovery Tasting is ￥12,640 * on top of the standard entry fee. Two additional samples are required to be sent.
