Dr Jamie Goode to Host Live Tastings of IWC 2025 Spain & Portugal Gold and Trophy Winners

International Wine Challenge (IWC) Co-Chair, Dr Jamie Goode, will host two special Instagram Live tastings, spotlighting a selection of standout Gold and Trophy medal winners from the 2025 competition.

These sessions will focus on Iberia — celebrating medal winners from Spain and Portugal — two countries with a deep-rooted winemaking heritage, diverse regional styles, and a strong international presence. During the tastings, Jamie will share insights into why these wines rose to the top in a highly competitive global field, what particularly impressed this year's judging panel, and what ultimately sets top medal winners apart.

The IWC judging panel — made up of leading buyers from both multiple and independent retail, leading sommeliers, Masters of Wine, and senior industry experts — assesses wines blind, across all price points, rewarding those that demonstrate genuine regional typicity, varietal character, and commercial credibility.

During each session, Jamie will:

– Taste through selected Gold and Trophy winners
– Explain why they stood out during judging
– Share insights into what buyers look for
– Highlight what an IWC medal signals in market terms.
