Discovery Tasting

The Discovery Tasting provides a unique platform for IWC medal-winning wines and Sake portfolios seeking representation in the UK.

Buyers from all channels, including supermarkets, agents, importers, independents, and major restaurant and hotel chains are now able to select and receive IWC medal-winning samples direct to their door via IWC Discovery Wines' sample delivery service.

IWC medal-winning wines included in the Discovery tasting will be dispatched to buyers and importers. Buyers will select their samples from a list wine and Sake, via a search tool, enabling buyers to easily browse and find products relevant to them. The concept allows a more effective and targeted tasting experience, making it easier than ever for buyers to discover new wines, all without leaving home – or sharing a spittoon!

Our partner WSL Logistics will re-bottle* samples of participating medal-winning wines into 50ml bottles and dispatch to qualified UK on- and off-trade requests.

Recipients of the IWC Discovery Tasting Sample service will have access to a dedicated website with information including the details of each wine/sake, IWC medal status and tasting note with producer contact details.

To enter the Discovery Tasting, please complete section 2 when submitting your wine into the IWC judging. It is essential that you indicate your primary focus (off-trade independent, off-trade multiple or on-trade) so that we can send your wines to the most relevant sector.

The fee (per wine) to be included in the IWC Discovery Tasting is £90* on top of the standard entry fee. Two additional samples are required to be sent.

*Still wine and Sake only. Sparkling wine/sake will remain in bottles as supplied. Only wines achieving an IWC medal will be included in the IWC Discovery sample boxes.
