Castel Family Estates

LOGO

Our Family Estates are rooted in the Bordeaux region, but we have also expanded into three other major French winemaking areas: the Loire, the Languedoc, and Provence. Each of our 20 estates has been carefully selected for its character, originality, and quality, and together they allow us to offer a diverse collection of over 60 exclusive red, white, and rosé wines across 11 AOCs and 1 PGI (Protected Geographical Indication).

For us, wine is more than a product — it is the expression of a legacy built by families, winegrowers, and cellar masters over generations. We see our role not as owners, but as custodians, committed to preserving and sharing this heritage. Our teams of experts work tirelessly to capture the purest expression of each terroir, chosen with care and passion by our family.

VISUEL-MULTI-CHATEAUX
Respect for the land is at the heart of everything we do. Our growing commitment to sustainability is reflected today in the 1,100 hectares of vineyards that are certified either Terra Vitis or organic.

VISUEL-MONTLABERT
Since 1750, Château Montlabert has embodied the spirit of family-run viticulture in Saint-Émilion, standing proudly alongside its prestigious neighbors, Figeac and Cheval Blanc. Since acquiring the estate in 2008, we have deepened our commitment to understanding and revealing its terroir, a journey reflected in the creation of a new winery and in the estate’s elevation to Grand Cru Classé status in 2022.

VISUEL-ARCINS
The history of Château d’Arcins dates back to 1300, when the Knights Templar first planted vines on this land, ideally situated along the prestigious Route des Châteaux between Moulis and Margaux. Today, Château d’Arcins, classified as a Cru Bourgeois and a member of the Grand Cercle des vins de Bordeaux, continues to express the full potential of its gravel and chalky clay terroirs.

VISUEL-LORT
Just a few minutes from the center of Bordeaux, Château du Lort has been cultivating its 17th-century heritage amidst a vineyard of remarkable terroir diversity. Since acquiring the estate in 1984, we have undertaken extensive replanting and modernization efforts to bring out the best of this Entre-Deux-Mers jewel, crafting a full-bodied, elegantly oaked Bordeaux Supérieur. The château’s historic grandeur and refined architecture are mirrored in the character and balance of its wines.

VISUEL-CAVALIER
Drawn by the beauty of Provence, we acquired Château Cavalier in 2000, nestled in the foothills of the Massif des Maures. With boldness and vision, we have made it one of the region’s leading estates, pioneering advances in vineyard management, winery construction, and lees ageing, while securing Terra Vitis certification in 2012. In 2024, our team continued this spirit of innovation with the launch of Grand Blanc, a new expression of Château Cavalier’s singular style.

VISUEL-CLAPIERE
Located between Montpellier and Béziers, Domaine de la Clapière captures all the serenity and elegance of the Languedoc, with 38 hectares of vines planted across a rich mosaic of varietals. Guided by the creative spirit of Sophie Palatsi and her husband Xavier, we craft wines that blend the strength of the Mediterranean with the finesse of Bordeaux expertise. Subtle, graceful, and authentic, Domaine de la Clapière reflects the quiet charm of its unique terroir.
