Wines must be delivered to your nearest Geodis Wine Logistics shipping agent in time for them to arrive in the UK by 16th March 2012.

Sending your Wine from Outside the UK

• Free On Board (FOB shipping), Upon payment of the Global shipping fee per entry on behalf of all Non UK entrants the International Wine Challenge will cover the costs associated with duty, storage, carriage, UK clearance and taxes on samples supplied when the Global Shipping rate is paid. In 2012 this fee is £35.00 plus VAT (if applicable) per entry.
• The freight charges will only be paid if the entrant ensures delivery is received in the United Kingdom by 16 March 2012.
• The freight charges will only be paid if the entrant uses the approved Geodis Wine Logistics shipping agents and the Global Shipping fee is paid.
• It is the responsibility of the entrant to pay all delivery charges up to the point where their local, Geodis Wine Logistics approved shipping agent, receives the samples.
• The entrant is responsible for contacting their local Geodis Wine Logistics approved shipping agent to arrange a suitable date of delivery that allows sufficient time for the samples to be delivered and received in the UK by 16 March 2012.
• Free on Board (FOB) prices of wines per 75cl must be included on the Entry Form/s since it is upon this figure that duty levels are calculated.
• The alcohol level must be included on the Entry Form/s since it is upon this figure that duty levels are calculated.

Payment of duty
The Commissioners of HMR&C require evidence of payment of duties and VAT as enshrined in The Alcoholic Liquor Duties Act 1979 and enforced by The Customs & Excise Management Act 1979. Procedures to achieve this are stipulated in the Customs Tariff and Public Notices covering alcoholic products. It is an offense to avoid the payment of these taxes on samples.
